Baahubali 2, the movie that became a religion in India. The craze, the excitement and the emotions, all these things made Baahubali 2 a cult film in the history of Indian cinema. The first-weekend collection stands at a whopping Rs 540 crore worldwide.
Baahubali 2 broke various records on its release day itself. The movie has collected Rs 41 crore at the box office on its day one crossing Aamir Khan’s Dangal (Rs 29.78 crore) and Salman Khan’s Sultan (Rs 36.54 crore). Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, wrote on twitter, “Truly SENSATIONAL! As per *early tracking and estimates* #Baahubali2 opens BIGGER than #Sultan [36.54 cr] and #Dangal [29.78 cr]. HINDI.”
But, even after such gigantic collection, Baahubali 2 has failed to break that one record. Yes, you heard it right. According to The Indian Express, Baahubali 2 could not beat the record made by Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year on its opening day, which collected Rs 45 crore on the first day.
On the other hand, Baahubali 2 has earned over $10 million in America despite opening on only 420 screens. All eyes are on one thing, whether Baahubali 2 will be able to beat the record of Aamir Khan’s PK (Rs 792 crores).
