Adipurush starring Prabhas has been the most awaited movie of the year, however the VFX used in the feature made it a flop show since the trailer release. Besides the poor VFX, netizens have also criticized director Om Raut for presenting Ramayana in the wrong way.
Due to this, the makers have decided to work yet again on the VFX and bring it to everyone’s satisfaction. The movie which was set to release on January 12, 2023, on the special day of Sankranti, has now been shifted to June 16, 2023.
“Adipurush is not a film, but a representation of our devotion to Prabhu Shri Ram and commitment towards our sanskriti and history,” said filmmaker Om Raut’s in an official statement. Raut mentioned that the team needs some more time to ‘give a complete visual experience to the viewers’.
The filmmaker added, ‘We are committed to make a film that India will be proud of. Your support, love and blessing is what keeps us going.”
It has been estimated that it might need a whopping investment to change the VFX of the movie. Trace analyst Girish Johar tweeted, “In another trade rumour / buzz … #Adipurush is being reworked..specially the effects & CG work…so it may not also not release in Summer 2023 … additionally it may now cost ₹80~100crs more !!!!! #Prabhas.
