Hardwork and courage are the keys to success. But even then sometimes it becomes difficult to achieve success. But those who face such difficulties with positivity, come out with flying colours. This is what happened with Kerela’s K Prithika Yashini. She not only faced the challenge but also won it. After a long struggle and her handwork, she became sub-inspector of police on Sunday.
Last week on Friday, during the passing out parade she became the first ever transsexual sub-inspector of police. This day was very special for Yashini, special, not because she got success but also because she became an inspiration for the number of people that represents the relative group of transgenders or transsexuals. She provided a path for those people who feels excluded from the society.
On Sunday yashini took the charge of Tamil Nadu’s Dharampur district as a sub-inspector. Currently, she is posted at Law and Order Wing. Yashini said, she aspires to be a successful IPS officer. Yashini wants to fight for the equal rights for women. She was born as a boy. Her name in childhood was Pardeep. But gradually she felt that she is a girl by feelings so she decided to convert in a girl. However, initially, it was difficult for her and her family. But like they say,
“when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.”
And Prithika Yashini has proved the statement true!
