Citadel, starring Priyanka Chopra, made its Prime Video debut on April 28. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the show has attracted enough interest to climb to the top of the web series popularity lists worldwide. The spy series, which was created by Josh Appelbaum, Bryan Oh, and David Weil, also stars Lesley Manville, Stanley Tucci, and Richard Madden. The show’s executive producers are Anthony and Joe Russo.
The spy thriller topped the rankings for popularity on April 29 according to a report by the movie and television tracking website FlixPatrol, which gave it a score of 1125. Season two of Netflix’s Sweet Tooth came in second, followed by The Marvellous Mrs. Maisel on Prime Video in third and The Diplomat on Netflix in fourth. Power on Prime Video, starring Toni Collette, is ranked fifth.
The Mandalorian from Disney+ is ranked seventh, while Netflix’s Firefly Lane is ranked sixth. Netflix’s The Nurse and Prime Video’s Dead Ringers round out the top 10 list, with Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power (on Prime Video) taking the eighth spot. The lowest-scoring film on the list, Dead Ringers, which stars Rachel Weisz in a dual role, has a score of 410.
The offshoot series in Italy and India are currently in production, and the second season of the thriller has also been ordered. Varun Dhawan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu feature in Raj and DK’s film The Indian Citadel, which is directed by them.
