The ongoing protest of the agitating farmers seems to intensify as they announced to block all railway tracks. If demands are not met.
It is the 16th day of the farmers’ protest at Delhi’s border. And it seems that with each passing day the protest is intensifying. As their demands are not full Filled yet. The farmers have also turned down the center’s written offer. And they have also kept series’ of plans in front of the government and asked to fulfill their demand. Not just this but, they also announced that if the government will not listen to them, they will also block the railway track. One of the leaders of the farmer’s protest named Boota Singh in the press conference stated “We will block railway tracks if our demands are not met. We will decide on the date and announce it soon. The blocking of tracks will not be limited to Haryana and Punjab but it will be done across the country,”
It was not just Boota Singh, but also Dr. Darshan Pal, Krantikari Kisan Union president, said all toll plazas in the region would be shut down on December 12th. And on December 14 they will be on dharnas at district headquarters across the country.
On the other hand in response to this Agriculture minister Mr. Tomar made a statement and said the government is ready to consider with an open mind any provision in the new laws where farmers have any issues, and we want to clarify all their apprehensions,” Also The Modi government meanwhile has given a “written assurance” over a series of amendments, including assurance on minimum support price (MSP). Coming back to Tomar let us tell you that he also said: “Government is trying to resolve this deadlock through dialogue. We all know the farmer agitation is going on for many days, We are continuously talking to Farmers and want to resolve their issues by explaining everything about farm laws,”
Where on one side farmers are continuously protesting and keeping their demands. On another side, Tomar has also appealed to the farmers to end the protest. Making a statement and calming down the farmers he said “I want to tell all farmers that when there is a protest it affects the farmers as well…winter has set in…we are battling Covid-19….people are not happy with these protests… Farmers should end the protest,”
