Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi and other senior party leaders have been arrested in Madhya Pradesh’s Neemuch, which is 44 km (approximately) away from the riot-hit Pipliamandi area of Mandsaur district. Rahul Gandhi was going there to meet families of five people who died in police firing during farmers’ protests on Tuesday.
Temporary Jail In Nayagaon
Rahul Gandhi along with Congress leaders Digvijay Singh, Kamal Nath and JDU leader Sharad Yadav were kept at Vikram Tent House as it is converted into a makeshift or temporary jail.
Rahul Gandhi’s Statement
According to The Times Of India, Rahul Gandhi said: “I squarely blame Modi and the chief minister (Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the killing of farmers). Country’s Prime Minster Narendra Modi can waive off Rs 1.50 lakh crore worth loans of the richest people of India, but can’t pay heed to the plight of farmers. He can only give bullets to them.’
What law of the land says that it is illegal to stand in solidarity with farmers who were killed simply for demanding what is their right?

The Whole Incident
On Tuesday, the police had reportedly opened fire at the protesters(farmers), which led to the death of five farmers. Earlier today, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh has confirmed that the death of farmers was because of police firing, which he had denied earlier.
