Ashiqui fame actor Rahul Roy is in the news these days for the brain stroke he suffered a while ago. Due to which he was also admitted to the hospital. As per the news, he had a brain stroke while shooting for his next film titled LAC Live The Battle in Kargil directed by Nitin Kumar Gupta. But unfortunately, after his condition deteriorated. He was rushed from Kargil to Srinagar and then to the Nanavati Hospital. However, the reports claimed that he is now recovering soon.
Meanwhile, a statement from one of his close friends and director Nitin Kumar Gupta who is also a doctor by profession revealed the actor’s health condition. Talking to Mumbai Mirror, Nitin Kumar Gupta said that he visited Rahul Roy in his hotel suite and suddenly realized he was not acting normally. According to him, he acted far differently from the way he supposes to. He further added saying that on Thursday, Rahul Roy showed unusual behavior and was unable to make cohesive sentences. Which according to him it could be aphasia, that affects speech. Soon after that Nitin said that we went for a CT Scan, but there was not much that showed up in the reports and then we managed to take him to Mumbai for further treatment. After he was scanned in Mumbai again it got confirmed that due to Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA) in the middle Cerebral Artery he suffered aphasia. The latest report says that the condition is now stable. Although he is still under observation.
Actor Rahul Roy rose to fame after he made his Bollywood debut at the age of 22 in the Mahesh Bhatt-directed Aashiqui. He later appeared in films like Junoon and Phir Teri Kahani Yaad Aayee. Recently the actor is shooting for his film LAC that also features former Bigg Boss 14 contestant Nishant Singh Makhani who is supposed to be in the lead role. However, Rahul will play the role of a colonel in the film. The film’s crew was in Kargil for a 17-day shoot. They reportedly had two more days to go when Rahul’s health condition deteriorated. Apart from acting, Rahul Roy also ventured into filmmaking and started his production company Rahul Roy Productions. He was also one of the contestants to win the first season of the popular TV reality shows Bigg Boss that aired in 2006.
