Rajpal Yadav made headlines in 2014 by saying that he is not getting work and still paying the debt. He then was arrested and sent to judicial custody by the Delhi High Court for hiding facts about a Rs 5 crore recovery suit filed against him and his wife by a Delhi-based entrepreneur.
In the same case, the Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav and his wife convicted today. The court is expected to pronounce the quantum of punishment to the actor and his wife on April 23.
In 2010, the actor had taken a loan from M.G. Aggarwal for his directional debut, Ata Pata Lapatta. The businessman files a case against the couple in the high court after they couldn’t repay him.
In the year 2013, Yadav was sent to a judicial custody for 10 days after he tried to hide facts about the case. The Karkardooma court had also ordered the attachment of the assets and a company owned by the couple.
The judge also issued a notice to his two lawyers for submitting affidavits with forged signatures of the actor and wife Radha.
