Actor Rajpal Yadav, who was recently seen in the Netflix film Kathal, shared what happened when his 2003 film Hungama was played at his home and his mother saw it for the first time.
In most of the scenes of the Priyadarshan film, Yadav is being beaten up. After watching those scenes, his mother got genuinely worried. She was so concerned that she stopped watching the movie and walked away.
In a recent interview to Bollywood Hungama, the actor shared, “Hungama was played at my home and my family watched it. Even my mother watched it. So, I asked her ‘Did you watch it?’ The first thing she pointed out was, “Kitna pitte hai log tujhe (People beat you up so much),” Yadav added that his mother refused to watch the movie as he was slapped twice.
Yadav tried to pacify her, “I told her ‘Amma, this is not real, this is reel. After the scene, we hug each other. I told her that there are scenes like this in the film so that the movie becomes a hit”.
Yadav at lasts understands the dilemma that, “It is difficult for a mother to see her son being thrashed.”
Hungama also featured Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdasani, Rimi Sen, and Paresh Rawal.
