Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Brahmastra’ took almost 5 years to make. There were constant delays and the pandemic too played spoil sport. As of late, Ranbir talked about why the science fiction show was delayed various times.
“To be honest, when a film is delayed, it has many factors attached to it. I’m not a director; I’m just an actor. So I’m an employed talent on the film where I’m told by the director that you have to reach set at this time. This is what we’re shooting. Where Brahmastra’s delays are concerned, I think when we started the film, we were not prepared for the animal that it was. It had too many special effects, and where the story was, we didn’t expect that. So we were learning as we were making it. We were never lazy about it, we were always working. So delays mean a lot of reshoots happen sometimes, and there’s nothing wrong with reshooting because, eventually, the audience is going to see the end product. If you shoot for 100, 200, or even 40 days, your product should be good,” said the actor during an interaction, as per timesofindia.indiatimes.com
With big releases like ‘Shamshera’ and ‘Brahmastra’ ready to go, Ranbir is experiencing a professional high. In his personal as well, Ranbir is preparing for the role of a dad. Talking about the most important role of his life, the actor had shared, “We grew up with a generation of fathers where they were not present much due to their work. More or less, we have been brought up by our mothers; we are much closer to them. I want to have a different dynamic with my children. I want them to be close to me also. Alia is a very busy working star in this film industry, and I don’t want her to sacrifice her dreams because she has a child. So we have to somehow plan out a balanced life where we can both enjoy our personal and professional lives.”
