Mumbai successfully defeated Uttar Pradesh in the Semi-Finals by a fortunate lead which benefited the fighting team to enter into the finals of this prestigious domestic cricket.
Mumbai is playing against Madhya Pradesh in the 2022 Finals of the iconic domestic league of Ranji Trophy.
Sarfaraz Khan played a magnificent knock in the Semi-Finals and also hit a wonderful century in the Quarter Finals.

Sarfaraz is currently batting at 40* runs in the finals of the Ranji Trophy and has fortunately named himself in the elite list which includes veterans like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and many other iconic players.
Sarfaraz Khan is the third player in the “Best Average” list surpassing Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman, and also other Indian legends like Dilip Vengsarkar.
The minimum condition of the average list is that the batsman must have scored at least 2000 runs to be named in the list.
Sarfaraz Khan has played 23 matches with 2288 runs with a striking average of 81.7 which includes 7 centuries.
Dilip Vengsarkar, who himself is in the “Best Average” list of the Ranji Trophy complimented Sarfaraz Khan for his match winning performance.

“He should have been playing for India at the moment. He has scored tons of runs every time (in Ranji Trophy). And if the selectors are still not convinced, then I am really surprised,” the former Indian captain told Khaleej Times during an interview in Dubai.
“What else can he do to get into the Indian squad? Every year, he has scored more than 800 runs for Mumbai.”
