The cricket fever is on high swing! The on-going cricket world cup 2019 tournament is getting interesting day by day as team India is performing consistently. Also, based on the cricket world cup, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh starrer 83 is one of the much-awaited films of the year.
Recently, the makers of the film have made a new revelation which is making every Indian cricket fan more excited. If reports are to be believed, the producer has shared that if India wins the ICC Cricket World Cup this year then, there will be another cricket movie that will bring the victory of 2019 to the silver screen.
The co-producer of the film Madhu Mantena told the media, “We are making the film to mark the iconic 1983 victory. After ’83, if India wins the World Cup this year in 2019, we would like to make a film on the win.”
A source close to the production further adds, “The talks for the movie has already begun where Madhu is super excited to get the movie-going. He has started further talks on this new project as well.”
This is surely great news for every cricket fan of India. To let you know, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer 83 is based on India’s historic win against West Indies at the 1983 world cup and Ranveer will be seen playing former Indian skipper and captain Kapil Dev. The star cast of the film also includes Pankaj Tripathi, Saqib Saleem and Chirag Patil. Kabir Khan is the director of the film and it is scheduled to release on 10 April 2020.
