Ranveer Singh is all set to hit the screen with his power-packed performance in the upcoming sports film, “83”

“83” is an upcoming sports film of Ranveer Singh, It is based on the event when in 1983, India became the winner of the Cricket World Cup for the first time. Kabir Khan is making ’83’ based on this event when India won World Cup. The film stars Ranveer Singh in the lead role. He is playing the role of former cricket captain Kapil Dev. A poster of his look has also been released. In which, Ranbir has imitated Nataraj shots of Kapil Dev. Now Kapil Dev has given his reaction regarding this film. Talking to the news agency about, 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev said that I hope the focus of the upcoming film will be on the whole team and not just me. He said, ‘I am the captain. I am also a member of the team. I think everyone should pay attention to their performance. I don’t see it as a solo performance, it’s a team performance. Such is the game of cricket. It is not about any one person, but about the team. When everyone gave 100%, the team won the World Cup. The film will be theatrically released in India on the 10th of April along with dubbed versions in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Regarding 83 ‘Kapil Dev said that my job is to give as much information as possible to the filmmakers. He said I was a bit confused with what they (filmmakers) are doing. It was at first difficult to decide what they are making. I just gave the information about the story to see what they make. Kapil further said that filmmakers are very smart and creative people, they have also done a lot of research on this before bringing the project on the screen. He added, ‘When I first heard the story, I was confused. I did not know how it would appear on the screen, but I can just hope that the film should do good at the box office. Directed by Kabir Khan, the film features Ranveer as Kapil Dev, Saqib Saleem as Mohinder Amarnath, Tahir Raj Bhasin as Sunil Gavaskar, Ammy Virk as Balwinder Sandhu, Pankaj Tripathi as PR Man Singh and Hardy Sandhu as Madan Lal. The film is set to hit theatres on April 10, 2020,
