Mumbai Crime Branch is looking for a racket of fake followers after singer Bhumi Trivedi filed a complaint with the Mumbai Police. Bhumi claimed that someone created a fake profile of her and contacted some Bollywood celebrities. The investigation started after the complaint and the accused was arrested. The rapper Badshah was spotted outside the crime branch a few days ago.
The Mumbai Police says that Badshah has accepted paying Rs 72 lakh for additional views on one of his music videos to break the audience’s record. The rapper reportedly bought 72 crore views for Rs 72 lakh. Badshah reportedly did so to create a world record for the most YouTube views in the first 24 hours of the song’s release.
Speaking to the Mumbai Mirror, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nandkumar Thakur said, ‘The singer has admitted that he wanted to set the highest audience world record in 24 hours on YouTube. That is why he paid Rs 72 lakh to this company.’
The Badshah himself has denied all these allegations. He said that he has spoken to the Mumbai Police and said, “I deny all the allegations leveled against me and made it clear that I was never involved in such things.”
