Zaira Wasim once again garnered the nation’s attention after she announced that she is quitting Bollywood. The reason she gave behind her decision was that her acting career interfered with her religion and faith. In a long post, she wrote the following, check out:

Her decision invited a lot of criticism and opened a fresh debate on social media where some supported her while others questioned her move. Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon also slammed the Dangal star. She wrote,

In the recent development, now Raveena Tandon has deleted her tweet and apologizes to Zaira Wasim. Why? Actually, the actress shared a clip from news channel which shows that Zaira did this under pressure because of Islamists. Since she stepped in Bollywood Zaira and her family’s life became miserable. They were threatened, even received death threats.
She went on to write,
To let you know, according to the reports, Zaira Wasim took the decision of quitting Bollywood under pressure from some fundamentalist clerics. As per the reports, a short tape was released in which one cleric shamed Zaira and an eight or nine-year-old Kick-boxing champion Tajamul from Kashmir, saying that the two youngsters are a shame for Kashmiri people for allegedly going beyond the lines of Islam. The cleric even criticised Zaira and Tajamul’s family members for allowing them to do what they are doing.
