She has expressed her anger over the constant delay in hanging the Nirbhaya case convicts. Nirbhaya’s convicts are constantly looking for ways to prevent their execution. This time Punita Devi, wife of convicted Akshay Thakur, has filed for divorce in Aurangabad Court (Bihar).
In this case, while retweeting the news on website, Raveena wrote, ‘Wow! It is a good strategy to delay. This is called messing with the judiciary. Why didn’t she divorce when he raped and murdered. ‘
On Friday morning i.e. March 20, all four convicts of Nirbhaya will be hanged. Before that, Akshay Thakur’s wife has filed a petition for divorce. Akshay’s wife argues that she does not want to die as a widow, so she should be divorced from her husband. And the case will be heard in Aurangabad court on March 24. The counsel for the convicts has done postponement for hanging in Delhi’s Patiala House Court on the basis of this petition.
Significantly, the death warrant has been issued many times before. However, each time the lawyers of the convicts have been successful in avoiding the execution. Now the Patiala House Court of Delhi will hear on this matter on Thursday.
