Ravindra Jadeja expressed his gratefulness on social media towards Mahindra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli after he became the world’s top-ranked bowler and all-rounder by the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its latest Test rankings released on Tuesday. He overtook Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan to occupy the top position for all-rounders for the first time.

Jadeja took to pay special thanks to Virat Kohli, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian cricket board and his family.He wrote: “My humble journey 2 be #1 Test AllRounder & bowler was possible due 2 @msdhoni @imVkohli, my fans & family.”
Meanwhile, captain Virat Kohli tweeted: “Big Congratulations to our sword master Mr Jadeja for becoming the Number 1 test all rounder with @ashwinravi99. Well done Jaddu! @imjadeja.”

Jadeja currently has 438 points while Shakib has 431 points. Ravichandran Ashwin is on the third position with 418 points. Jadeja has been suspended from the third and final Test of the series by the International Cricket Council (ICC) after accumulating six demerit points in a 24-month period.
He has been replaced by left-arm-spinner Axar Patel. In the second Test, which India won by an innings and 53 runs, Jadeja contributed an unbeaten 70 and also took seven wickets.
In the list of batsmen, Steve Smith and Joe Root are still Nos 1 and 2 while Cheteshwar Pujara (888 points) gained a place to be third and Virat Kohli with 813 points maintained his fifth position.
