At a recent award ceremony, actress Alia Bhatt met legendary performer Rekha. On social media, a video of the two main ladies shaking hands had gone viral. In the most dramatic response to Rekha’s description of Alia Bhatt as a legend, the young actor may be seen in a clip from the award ceremony.
On the night of the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards, Alia and Rekha both got honours. For her role in Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia received the Best Actress award; Rekha received the Outstanding Contribution To The Film Industry honour.
In a clip posted by Sony on its social media account, quoted Rekha’s words, “I dedicate my award today to the future legends of our country and she is the beginning of them.” Reacting to this, Alia kept her hand on her head and acted to faint.

It came from the same award ceremony as the viral video of Alia and Rekha kissing outside the venue. Alia and Rekha may be seen in the video arriving at the location simultaneously. Alia exited her car first, then she waited for Rekha to finish introducing everyone else. She immediately hurried over to the senior actor and hugged her, asking for her blessing.
Alia will be next starred in a Hollywood film Heart of Stone, which also features Gal Gadot. In Bollywood, she has Rocky Aur Rani all set for release in April in her kitty.
