Reliance Jio Accuses Airtel For Offering Fake Unlimited Data Plan

Reliance Jio accused Airtel of astray users by offering an unlimited data plan. Along with that Reliance Jio complaint to TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority Of India) against Airtel and demanded strict inquiry with an appropriate fine.

Jio stated, recently Airtel has launched tariff plan in which terms and conditions are not explained clearly. Jio declared that Airtel is not allowed to provide unlimited voice call and data under its new plan. 

According to Jio, Airtel has issued fair usage policy. Under this policy, a user can get free 300 minutes per day and 1200 minutes per week. On reaching the limits, a user can charge of 30p/min. Jio also stated that Airtel promised to give 3GB free data on the recharge of 345Rs but it is not true. Jio filed a 5-page complaint letter against Airtel to TRAI in which it accused Airtel to mislead users.By this, it offends the policy and rules of TRAI.

On a reminding note, Airtel launched an offer to its 4G users earlier. According to this plan, a user will get free 4G data for 12 months. However, this plan is valid for only those users who ported from other networks to Airtel. This plan costs 345 Rs.
