Recently, International Hug-Day (21 January) was celebrated worldwide. On this occasion, actress Richa Chadha gave ‘Free Hug’ to people in many places in Mumbai. She went to many places in the city with the signboard of ‘Free Hug’ in her hand. Also, she embraced people and spread awareness about this day. During this time she embraced many men besides women and children. Richa shared the video of this on her Instagram account on Wednesday, in which she is seen giving free hugs to strangers.
Richa’s initiative was well-liked by the social media users and they praised her while commenting. In her post of sharing the video, Richa wrote, ‘There is too much hate in the world, so thought of loving a little. As Martin Luther King used to say, darkness cannot be eradicated from the darkness. Only light can do that … I hug strangers and it was like magic.’
Richa wants to do this every year
She further wrote, ‘Kako you saw the lady in red saree, she not only hugged me then kissed me and after that she kissed my friend who helped her. I also got people to hug each other. You will see that love spreads like this. Now I want to do the same every year. Maybe next year you too come with me and laugh and share the love. Keep sharing love. Thank you, Sagar, UJ, and Sajid for supporting me in my madness. ‘

Richa will be seen in the film ‘Panga‘. Also, this is going to be released on January 24. Directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, the film will feature Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. Both actresses have played the role of kabaddi players in this film.
