The father of Mrunal Thakur in the second season of the Amazon Prime Video series Made in Heaven, actor Rio Kapadia, lost his fight with cancer on Thursday. He was 66.
The actor will be laid to rest on Friday in Mumbai’s Goregaon neighbourhood.
Rio Kapadia was well-known for appearing in films such as Khuda Hafiz, Dil Chahta Hai, Happy New Year, and Chak De India, in which he played a pundit.
Along with being a well-known face on television, he also appeared in a number of popular TV series, including Kutumb, Judwa Raja, Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke, and Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
Rio Kapadia was not only a successful actor but also a sketch artist. He already posted tidbits of his work on social media. In addition to Madhuri Dixit and Sridevi, he also created sketches of the late actor Dilip Kumar, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan, Rishi Kapoor, and Sridevi.
On June 5 of this year, the actor posted photos from his European holiday with his family and friends in his final social media post.
