Rishab Shetty who was initially approached for Bachelor Party helmed by his director friend may Rakshit Shetty has been replaced due to engagement issues. A cast member of the film Diganth Manchale claimed that Rishab has no time as he is tied up working in the sequel of the blockbuster hit Kantara.
Kantara helmed by Rishab has emerged as the second-highest-grossing Kannada film to date, and received a earning of more than ₹400 crore. However, the director has not yet confirmed the making of a second part of the film yet.
Speaking to YouTuber Madhu Sudan Gowda, Diganth said, “We had announced Bachelor Party, but then Rishab is nowhere to be found these days. We are very proud that he made a film that has got national recognition. He said that he is now going to make Kantara 2, and will be busy with that, so we are looking at replacing him in the film.”
Rakshit Shetty has announced about his comedy film Bachelor Party in September. Rakshit tweeted about his film and wrote, “Happy and delighted to announce #ParamvahStudios’ next project, an adventure comedy film, “Bachelor Party”.” The picture attached with the poster displayed the three leads in a quirky and goofy avatars sitting in a car.
However, there have been reports released in the previous week which speculated that Rishab opt out of the project due to creative differences.
Rakshit’s recent film 777 Charlie served to be commercially successful at the theaters and grossed at ₹100 crore at the box office emerging as the fifth-highest-grossing Kannada film.
