First Ever ‘Made In India’ Space Shuttle Launched By ISRO

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) released India’s first made space shuttle into orbit on Monday Morning at 7AM.

RLV-TD, the latest reusable launch vehicle is India’s first space shuttle which is released on Monday 23 March in Andhra Pradesh and as soon as the shuttle was released the whole ISRO burst into the laughter of happiness.

“Mission accomplished successfully,” ISRO’s spokesperson told PTI just after the release.

This is the first time that ISRO has launched a winged flight vehicle and the experiment performed with it has come to known as the hypersonic flight experiment.

It took the shuttle just a short period of 10 minutes from takeoff to splashdown but still the flight was very applaudable.

RLV-TD is also our country’s way to make low cost but reliable space crafts which will help in increasing the astronomic knowledge of the country and will take the country to new heights.

This mission wasn’t the only mission in RLVs series but is  the first step to the Two Stage To Orbit (TSTO) fully re-usable vehicle according to ISRO.

This shuttle is 6.5 meters long and weighs 1.75 tons and needs a special rocket booster to be launched into the atmosphere

Although this mission was successful but the real achievement of RLVs will be seen clearly in the future after 10-15 years.
