India’s squad for the 1st T20I against England; Virat and others seniors to rest for the series opener
India have surprisingly named two squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the Englishmen after the final test will end by July 5 (as scheduled).
Rohit Sharma is likely to be announced fit after being ruled out of the final Test match and will be leading throughout the white-ball series and the skipper of both the T20I squads will be “hitman” himself.
The 1st T20I squad includes major percentage of youngsters, considering the time gap in the conclusion of Test and the first T20I is just 2 days. Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, Rishabh Pant, and other seniors will be given rest for the first T20I.
Ruturaj, Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi, Venkatesh Iyer, and Arshdeep Singh will be making ways for the seniors for the remaining T20Is.
The second T20I onwards will be a great show as team India will witness Virat Kohli and other seniors to be on track and the rest of the seniors will be played with seniors on board. It has been a long time since a full force squad for team India had attended a white-ball series in abroad.
Months after watching Hardik Pandya, and Rishabh Pant to lead team India, the blues will hopeful be back with Rohit “hitman” Sharma to be back on the captaincy record as he is being winning consecutively in the white-ball series, as well as whitewashed Sri Lanka in the test.
