The 2024 edition of the festival will pay tribute to the popular actor with an esteemed Lifetime Achievement Award. In addition to his prize, Johnny Depp’s new film, Modi – Three Days on the Wing of Madness, will close this year’s festival. Depp-directed movie takes place over three days in 1916 Paris during World War I, the film focuses on a particularly tumultuous period in Modigliani’s existence. The story takes place over this restricted time, Modigliani has obstacles to encounter including being pursued by the police, considering retirement, and things getting personal also.

The film portrays Modigliani with other artists such as Maurice Utrillo and Chaim Soutine, as well as his muse Beatrice Hastings. It was an emotional night for Modigliani, who sought advice from his art dealer friend Leopold Zborowski.
