Actress Salma Hayek recently opened up about the trauma she faced after suffering from COVID-19. Read to know about her statement.
Salma Hayek is among those actors who never imported talk about his private life. But there are times when things need time to be assimilated before being told out loud. And that is precisely the reason why the actress opened up about her traumatic experience. She had to reveal that she was about to die from Covid-19. Although there have been many celebrities who have narrated almost something similar and that they had been infected with the virus, Salma took a bit long to narrate her story. But finally opened about what happened when, very shortly after the pandemic began, she tested positive for the disease.
Narrating her whole story to the variety she said “My doctor was begging me to go to the hospital because I was getting very sick. But I refused, I preferred to die at home, ” she also talked about the seven harsh weeks that she spent isolated in a room in her London home, where she lives with her husband François-Henri Pinault and her daughter Valentina, 13 years old.
The actress said that although the first stages of the disease were critical, even connecting to an oxygen bottle, in the end, Salma managed to overcome her battle against the coronavirus. Of course, the recovery was very slow. So much so that today she assures that she has not yet recovered all the energy she had before she was infected. She also spoke that “Now I also do more and more meetings for Zoom, but not many because I am still very tired”
Although the condition has not prevented her from returning to work last April to participate in the filming of House of Gucci , where she plays a clairvoyant who was convicted of helping Patricia Reggiani , played by Lady Gaga , in 1995 to organize the murder of her ex-husband, Mauricio Gucci.
