Famous Bollywood actor, Salman Khan arrived in Jodhpur on Tuesday evening on his chartered plane. Khan will remain present in the Jodhpur court for the hearing of alleged use and possession of fire arms case against him.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Dalpat Singh Rajpurohit will give his verdict on the case on wednesday. The defence had argued that there are adequate evidence against him for the use and possession of arms with expired license.
A case under Sections 3/25 and 3/27 had been filed by police according to which Khan had kept the .22 rifle and .32 revolver and use them during the poaching of two black bucks in village Kankani in Jodhpur on 1-2 october, 1998.
Timeline of Arms Act Case
October 15, 1998 – A then forest guard, Gordhan Singh filed FIR at Luni Police Station against Salman and his companions of killing black bucks on the night of 1-2 October, 1998 at village Kankani. The hunters flee after villagers chase them.
Later revealed that Salman Khan had sent his weapons to Mumbai. Police called the weapons back and seized them.
July 28, 2000 – Police file charge-sheet against Salman under the Arms Act.
Febuary 27, 2006 – Charges framed against Salman Khan. Jodhpur bench seeks case records in a revision petition filed by the state government. The documents stay in Jodhpur from 2006 to 2014.
Out of the four cases against him, Khan has been discharged from two cases of poaching while the third of poaching is in its final stage.
