It seems that Salman Khan tries to leave no stone unturned when it comes up to sparking controversies. From row over the claim of the song ‘Jag Ghoomeya’ to the recent rape remark – Salman Khan seems to be flashing in the headlines of all the daily news channels.
Recently his remark on how he used to feel like a “raped woman” after he packed up from the day’s shoot of “Sultan”, sparked an uproar and became a great topic of debate, nation-wide.
Avoiding to make any public appearance or any remark, Salman Khan finally opens his sealed lips.
All eyes were on Mr. Salman Khan as he took the stage on Thursday night in Madrid, along with many other Bollywood celebs. He was there to promote the International Indian Film Academy awards which will be held over the weekend in the Spanish capital.
He said – “I know it has been a long evening, I will make it short, quick,” when a woman in the audience stood up to say, “No, long”.
It was then the actor replied: “I have to. Knowing me the shorter I keep it the better it is.”
His comment clearly depicted how he feels that he should better speak less so as to maintain safe distance from all sorts of controversies.
His comment received the much required applaud, cheers and appreciation from the audience side – be it for finally opening up his mouth to make a remark on the controversy or for deciding to shut it a little in the future!
WHAT WAS HIS COMMENT THAT LEAD TO NATION-WIDE UPROAR?
Though famous for many “kaands” and “controversies”, this was his recent stint at it once again-
“When I used to walk out of the ring, after the shoot, I used to feel like a raped woman. I couldn’t walk straight,” the 50-year-old had said this in an interview published on the entertainment site SpoyboyE on Monday.
Salman Khan had been accused of killing a man sleeping on the footpath, in a “hit-and-run” case and was also battling the charges framed against him on the apparent killing of antelopes in Rajasthan.
Whether it is his attempt to promote “Sultan” in a cheap and innovative or his mindset which he reflects in the interviews, he certainly know how to grab the eyeballs of the media and people!
