Actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu is over the moon seeing the response of her latest film Yashoda which is positively received at the box . “Best weekend ever,” the actor tweeted seeking the good response from the audience.
Yashoda has gained Rs 20 crore overseas, informed the productions Sridevi Movies, on Twitter.
Even though the film received positive views from the people, few critics were not completely satisfied with the script. Film critic Manoj Kumar wrote, “Hari and Harish have a slew of interesting elements in the movie. But, instead of blending all these elements in a clever narration, they resort to exploitation. Instead of making the audience feel something, this movie exploits their feelings towards expecting mothers and unborn babies.”
The film is helmed by Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan, it features Unni Mukundan, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Murali Sharma.
Samantha has been diagnosed with an auto-immune disease myositis. She revealed in an interview, “I was very scared when I posted it. I was already weak and vulnerable, and I didn’t know if I had enough strength to take if somebody said a wrong thing. But, people unanimously reached out to me in support.”
