Samantha Ruth Prabhu wanted a simple birthday celebration without surprises, cake, or balloons. However, the Citadel team, on which she is presently working, disregarded her requests and shocked the actor with what they did. She posted pictures and videos from her last week on Instagram, commemorating her birthday on April 28. The pictures show her being awoken at night by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the directors of Citadel.
The actor spammed the pictures from the celebration and wrote, “The rules were simple.. – no surprises, – no cake, -certainly no f**in balloons, I clearly get what I want. The week that was.” Samantha is wearing a patterned nightshirt and shorts in the first several pictures. She is asked to enter one of the rooms, but she tries to flee when she sees they are going to surprise her. Krishna DK is recording the scene on his phone when she gets pulled into the room by the Citadel squad.
Samantha and the Citadel crew, which includes her co-star Varun Dhawan, are seen in another picture posing in front of three cakes. The remaining pictures are of the sky, a temple, a Gayatri mantra clip that she had been listening to, a video of being the most well-known Indian celebrity on IMDb, and a picture of her relaxing in an ice bath.
Actor Malvika Mohanan posted red heart emojis and Rhea Kapoor showered her best belated birthday wishes. She wrote, “Happy birthday @samantharuthprabhuoffl soon.” One fan wrote, “When we tell the “Dont do things list” friends hear it as “to do things list” Sam @samantharuthprabhuoffl.” Another wrote, “Seeing you being happily smiling is more than enough already for me @samantharuthprabhuoffl you deserve this much love all over world and THANKYOU for EXISTING Sammy.”
She is slated to star alongside Vijay Deverakonda in the upcoming movie Kushi, which will be released this year. The lead performers for Citadel’s Indian incarnation are Samantha and Varun. On April 28, Prime Video debuted the US version, featuring Priyanka Chopra and Richard Madden.
