During an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Jackson said he’s more excited about playing Mace Windu someday than about an Oscar. The actor has never won one, but has become a much-loved figure in the film community and has many fans.

However, Samuel L. Jackson is completely content not to get an Oscar. He said:
“I would never consider the Oscars my measure of success or failure as an actor. Mine is very simple, which is happiness. Am I happy with what I’m doing? such a statuette can hunt You know [whispers] ‘if you make this movie you win an Oscar No thanks I’d rather be Nick Fury Or have fun like Mace Windu with a lightsaber in my hand. “
In the same conversation, Jackson turned his attention to Spider-Man: No Way Home. “They should have had an Oscar for the most popular movie. Because that’s what the industry is about,” Jackson said of the Marvel film.
“It did what movies always do, which is take people into a big dark room.”
