Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is on a three-day visit to India which will see him travelling to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Delhi. On Monday, he stated that India is one of the places where the entrepreneurial energy is able to scale up.
In India, entrepreneurial energy is tremendous and the tech-giant Microsoft is ‘enthused’ about it.
“Center of entrepreneurial energy at least for us right now in India is all around our cloud. It is fantastic, the quality of the entrepreneurs, the ideas… the Indian market itself is huge, but also going beyond that, it is amazing to see (the growth)” Said Nadella.
CEO Nadella also supported Indian government’s digital drive and Make in India campaign.
“India Stack’s vision of having a presence-less, cashless, paperless vision — which is fundamentally about bringing down transactional costs in the economy — so that every citizen, small business and large business can all benefit, is a grand vision,” said Nadella
“I strongly believe that India has a lot of latent entrepreneurial energy, which needs to be harnessed so that we become a nation of job givers, more than job seekers.” – PM Modi
He also pointed out that in the last several months there were about 2000 startups in the Microsoft Accelerator programme that the company runs out of Bengaluru, India.
CEO Nedella also strongly implied that the growing technology when it comes to AI, won’t cut any jobs in India, saying that there are thing that AI will never be able to do.
