Akshay Kumar has once again made it to another list of Forbes this year. The 52-year-old actor has ranked 6th this time on the 2020 Forbes list of the 10 highest-grossing male actors with his earnings and grossed $ 48.5 million in a year – he is the only Indian on the list . Akshay Kumar’s rank has gone down two places since last year, although he is in the list, this is a big achievement. Akshay Kumar was ranked fourth in Forbes’ 2019 list of highest paid actors.
According to Forbes magazine, Akshay earned most of the 362 crore from brand endorsement last year. Being one of the commercially most trusted actors, Akshay Kumar is the face of over 30 brands, ranging from FMCG to luxury items.
A recent report has claimed that actor charge around Rs 2-3 crore for each day of an ad shoot. According to a study by Duff & Phelps, Akshay Kumar has a brand value of Rs 742 crore or $ 104.5 million.
Wrestling actor Dwayne Johnson is in the news for this year’s list, which is estimated to be $ 87.5 million. He also topped the list last year. Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds is in second place with earnings of $ 71.5 million. In third, fourth and fifth place are actors Mark Wahlberg, Ben Affleck and Vin Diesel respectively.
According to the Forbes report list, the largest share of Akshay Kumar’s earnings comes from advertisements and endorsements, not from the work in films. In June, Akshay Kumar was the only Indian celebrity in the Forbes list of 100 highest-paid celebs. However, his rank dropped to 52 as compared to last year’s 33.
Forbes reports that for his digital debut in the upcoming Amazon Prime series ‘The End’, Akshay Kumar has signed a deal that has paid him $ 10 million.
