To save women’s life Ambulance 108’s men staff is helping them in delivery. One of such case has been witnessed in Madhya Pradesh. Here a woman delivered twin baby daughters in an ambulance safely. The all men team in the ambulance was led by Bhuva, 23, an EMT and his colleague Naresh Chauhan who helped the lady deliver twins in an ambulance.
However, the delivery was complicated as it was a breech birth. Breech birth refers to the position of a baby during delivery when the legs (instead of the head) is delivered first. Bhuva said, “Initially her vitals were weak but she soon recovered. The mother and children were then rushed to the hospital”. He said the women had expected to undergo a cesarean section since she was carrying twins.
On 108 Ambulance, the medical staff constitutes only men and they all are trained. Shivkant Upadhyay, district in-charge of Ambulance 108, says that all men posted on these vehicles are trained. in the case of life in danger situation, they make decisions on their own. Apart from delivery they also treat people who get injured in various accidents.
