An official reported that on Friday that Mumbai police have opened an investigation into the actor from Taarak Mehta ka Ooltah Chashmah’s complaint of sexual harassment against the show’s producer Asit Kumarr Modi and two other crew members.
The actress who portrays Mrs. Roshan Sodhi in the well-known sitcom, Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, has accused Modi of sexual harassment at workplace. Asit Modi, Project Head Sohail Ramani, and Executive Producer Jatin Bajaj are the targets of Jennifer’s allegation of alleged workplace sexual harassment.
The actor was fired from the show owing to bad behaviour, according to the producer, who refuted the accusations.
After statements from those mentioned in the claim are recorded, a First Information Report (FIR) will be filed, the police officer continued.
The actor had already sent an email to Mumbai’s Powai police expressing his displeasure with the producer and the two staff members.
The National Commission for Women (NCW), which the actor reportedly addressed in search of redress, is the source of the formal complaint that police received on May 8 from them.
In recent years, the performer said that the producer had repeatedly “sexually harassed” her.
The 2008 premiere of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah made it among of the longest-running sitcom in television annals. Additionally, it stars well-known performers Mandar Chandwadkar, Munmun Dutta, and Dilip Joshi.
