Shah Rukh Khan will indeed appear as a Don in his upcoming project. But not in Don 3. As he has passed on the Don franchise to actor Ranveer Singh, who is leading the upcoming Don 3. King Khan stepped away from that series. However, he is now gearing up to play a different kind of don in a new film. As per reports, Shah Rukh is expanding his “baddie universe” and will portray a morally ambiguous don-like character with grey shades in an upcoming film titled “The King”. This film will be directed by acclaimed director Sujoy Ghosh and presented by Siddharth Anand.
Suhana Khan’s Big Screen Debut!
The King will not only feature Mr Khan. But also it will be a big-screen debut of Shah Rukh’s daughter, Suhana Khan. The film is being made on a massive budget of ₹200 crore and will have an intriguing story of a mentor and a disciple. Suhana is currently undergoing intensive action training for her role. There were reports that Shah Rukh would only have a supporting role, but now he will play the parallel lead, taking full control of his daughter’s debut.

A source close to the production has confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan is very passionate about this project. He has been closely involved in crafting the character, which will have a “cool full attitude and swag” along with shades of grey. For this role, SRK will sport long hair and a faint beard. Interestingly, he is also actively involved in his son Aryan Khan’s upcoming web series debut, titled Stardom
