Bollywood Superstar, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to buy another T20 club in a South-African based tournament, named as T20 Global league. He already owns Kolkata Knight Riders team of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Trinbago Knight Riders team of Caribbean Premier League (CPL). He has shown interest to buy a team either in Johannesburg or Cape Town.

According to the reports from Mumbai Mirror, Shah Rukh Khan has a huge fan following in South Africa, Johannesburg streets are full of his hoardings. The initiative was taken by Cricket South Africa (CSA) and in return, Shah Rukh Khan has already sent his sports management to South Africa for discussion with CSA chief executive Haroon Lorgat.
T20 Global League
The League is scheduled to be held in the last part of the 2017-18. The franchise owners will be announced at the Lord’s Cricket Ground here on June 19.
Kolkata Knight Riders
The team represents the city of Kolkata in Indian Premier League. It is owned by Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla and her spouse Jay Mehta. In 2015, the brand value of the Knight Riders was estimated at $86 million. The team is currently captained by Gautam Gambhir and coached by Jacques Kallis.
Trinbago Knight Riders
It is a franchise cricket team of the Caribbean Premier League, representing the Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. In 2015, Shah Rukh Khan again with Juhi Chawla and Jay Mehta purchased the stake in the team. In 2016, Red Chillies Entertainment took over the team’s operations and changed the name to the Knight Riders.
