It seems Shahid Afridi has no work these days. That’s why he is more interested to solve problems in Kashmir rather than taking a look into his own country which is already declared as a terrorist state by the world. He recently tweeted on Kashmir saying the terrorists killed by the Indian Army were actually the innocent people of Kashmir who were demanding freedom.
Reacting to Monday’s anti-terror operation in Kashmir where 13 militants were killed, he tweeted:
This once again raged every Indian and Shahid Afridi’s tweet got flooded with retweets. Not only common Indian social media users but renowned cricketers from Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, Kapil Dev and Sachin Tendulkar took a dig at Shahid Afridi and told him that such things don’t suit a famous celebrity like him.
While addressing the media Kohli expressed his views on Shahid Afridi’s infamous tweet. He said,
“As an Indian, you want to express what is best for your nation & my interests are always for the benefit of our nation. If anything opposes it, I would never support it for sure. But having said that, it’s a very personal choice for someone to comment on certain issues. Unless I have total knowledge of the issues and the intricacies of it I don’t engage in it but definitely, your priority stays with your nation.”
The legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar too gave his answer on his reply and said,
“It is obvious that we have capable people to manage our country, run our country. No outsider needs to tell us what we need to do. India can very well manage its internal affairs.”
Meanwhile, when Kapil Dev was asked for his opinion on Afridi’s tweet, he said,
“Who is he? Why are we giving importance to him? We should not be giving importance to certain people.”
Suresh Raina wrote on social networking site,
“Kashmir is an integral part of India and will remain so always. Kashmir is the pious land where my forefathers were born. I hope @SAfridiOfficial bhai asks Pakistan Army to stop terrorism and proxy war in our Kashmir. We want peace, not bloodshed and violence.”
