Sharon Stone claims she was tricked into removing her underwear for a Primary Instinct scene.
The actor revealed that she was assured that her vagina would not be visible in the final cut and that she was asked to remove her underwear so that the white was not reflected in the lighting.
Director Paul Verhoeven has denied cheating on Stone.
In an excerpt from her upcoming memoir The Beauty of Living Twice , which was obtained by Vanity Fair, Stone said she didn’t know what happened until she saw a cut from the film .
Recalling the moment she watched the scene in a viewing room, surrounded by “agents and lawyers, most of whom had nothing to do with the project,” Stone said she was disgusted.
The 62-year-old wrote: “This is how I saw my vaginal prick for the first time, long after I was told, ‘We can’t see anything – I just need to you to take off your panties, because the white reflects the light, so we know that you are wearing panties ”.
“Yes, there have been a lot of views on this topic, but since I’m the one with the vagina, in question, let me say, the other views are *** bulls.” It was me and my parts up there. “
After the viewing, Stone says she slapped Paul Verhoeven in the face and called his lawyer Marty Singer.
She explained, “I went to the projection booth, slapped Paul in the face, left, went to my car and called my lawyer, Marty Singer.
“Marty told me that they couldn’t release this movie the way it was… And, said Marty, according to the Screen Actors Guild, my union, it was not legal to pull my dress this way.
“” Phew, “I thought. Well, that was my first thought. Then I thought about it a bit more. What if I was the director?
“What if I had this photo?” What if I did it on purpose? Or by accident? What if it just exists? It was a lot to think about.
“I knew what movie I was making. For heaven’s sake, I fought for this role, and during all that time, only this director defended me. “
She added, “I informed Paul of the options Marty had given me. Of course, he vehemently denied that I had any choice. I was just an actress, just a woman; what choices could I have?
“But I had choices. So I thought and thought and chose to allow this scene in the movie.
” Why? Because it was okay for the movie and for the character; and because, after all, I did. “
Speaking in 2017, Verhoeven, 82, denied Sharon’s claims.
He said, “Sharon is lying.
“Any actress knows what she’s going to see if you ask her to take off her underwear and point in there with the camera. “
However, despite being approached, Verhoeven declined to comment on the Vanity Fair article.
