What’s Love Got to Do with It?, a film by Shekhar Kapur has received nominations for the UK National Film Awards in nine different categories.
The British romantic comedy has received nominations for all the major prizes, including best British film, best director for Kapur, and best actress for Lily James. It explores how other cultures view love and marriage.
Shazad Latif, Shabana Azmi, Emma Thompson, and music legend Rahat Fateh Ali Khan all participate in the film as ensemble cast members.
In May, the nominees for the 9th annual National Film Awards were revealed. The National Film Academy of the UK will host the awards presentation on July 3 at Porchester Hall.
Shekhar Kapur received congratulations from a variety of personalities on social media, including Manoj Bajpayee, who collaborated with the director on his 1994 smash Bandit Queen.
