During an episode of The Bombay Journey with Mashable India, the 32-year-old actress Nora disclosed that she arrived in India with only Rs 5000 in hand. She remembered her days in the 3BHK apartment with her nine roommates, where she often questioned her choices. These experiences left a lasting impact on her, and the struggles she faced as she pursued her dreams in the city. Talking about her experience Nora said, “I lived with nine psychopaths in a three-BHK apartment where I shared the room with two other girls. During my stay there, I used to think, ‘What have I got myself into?’ I am still traumatized.”

Sharing her experience Nora Fatehi, revealed how newcomers like her were taken advantage of by agencies. These agencies would take out big chunks of money from their salaries, leaving them with very little to live on. The actress who appeared as a wildcard contestant on Bigg Boss season 9 explained to the Hindustan Times how the agencies would deduct money for various things like pocket money, rent, commissions, and more, leaving them with almost nothing. She shared that they had to survive on a diet of just one egg, Nutella, bread, and milk every day, which was tough. Nora expressed her serious concerns about the exploitation by these agencies and emphasized the need for laws and regulations to protect people from such situations. Revealing her experience she said that it was so difficult phase and she needed therapy to cope with it.
