Yes it is harmful, and yes it should be legalized.

Anti-marijuana activists argue that legalizing it won’t reduce crimes related to drug abuse, and would lead to a increase in marijuana sales which would mean more people getting stoned and getting lazy. Moreover health fanatics consider smoking pot outrightly outrageous. After all, how can smoking have any positive effects on the human body? Well, that is one take on this whole issue.

Coming to the pros of it, there are many. Marijuana has been in use a long time before people started to die of pollution or lead poisoning, and not a single death has ever been recorded by it’s use. Marijuana cures and prevents Alzheimer and Glaucoma, helps relieve stress, anxiety, depression, slows down tumor growth, and helps relieve pain for chemo/radiation therapy patients as well. In fact, hash oil (an extract from marijuana) is administered to children suffering from fits. If legalized, marijuana can be taxed which would produce billions of dollars annually in profit which in turn would help our nation get out of debt. Cannabis farms can be set up as well, and growing and harvesting marijuana can become a profession thus lowering the unemployment rate. The best part, it does not lead to or cause lung cancer.
