Friday marked the start of the two-day South Indian International Awards (SIIMA) ceremony in Dubai, and the first day of the occasion was a dazzling spectacle with a star-studded lineup.
Both SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Hanu Raghavapudi’s Sita Ramam earned several honours in Telugu, while in the Kannada categories, Kiranraj K’s 777 Charlie and Rishab Shetty’s Kantara stood out as noteworthy victors.
Sita Ramam won the prize for the best Telugu film, and 777 Charlie won the prize for the best Kannada film. For their performances in RRR and KGF: Chapter 2, respectively, NT Rama Rao Jr. (Telugu) and Yash (Kannada) won the prizes for Best Actor in a Leading Role.
In addition, SS Rajamouli won the prestigious Best Director (Telugu) award for his sweeping action film RRR.
