The Day 1 has been beneficial for team Sri Lanka as the hosts managed to put up a decent score above 200 runs only because of Chandimal’s great assistance in the game.
Dinesh Chandimal played a remarkable knock on Day 1 to send a message to team Pakistan that the game might not just result in win but with sheer dominance.
Sri Lanka managed to put up 222 runs on board with the help of a great start by Fernando who scored 35 runs before being knocked out by Hasan Ali. Shaheen Afridi on the other side took a memorable spell of 4 wickets in just 14.1 overs. Hasan Ali managed to put a stop to Chandimal’s great battle who walked back to pavilion with 76 runs. Yasir Shah too assited in sweeping the top order while Naseem Shah and Nawaz took 1 wicket each.
Pakistan has not been upto a great start as they have lost 2 critical wickets of their openers who were sent back early. Azhar Ali manages to keep his foot on pitch till stumps while Babar Azam might be witnessed with a skipper innings tomorrow.
