Sonam Kapoor is currently anticipating the release of her movie Blind following her maternity leave. The movie will now be released via JioCinema on July 7 in a direct-to-digital format rather than its initial theatre release. In addition to Purab Kohli, Vinay Pathak, Lilette Dubey, and Shubham Saraf, the movie is directed by Shome Makhija. Sonam Kapoor’s first digital appearance will also be her subsequent film following The Zoya Factor in 2019.
Scotland saw the shooting of Blind in 2020. A blind police officer who is looking into a case of serial killings is the centre of the crime drama.

The streamer JioCinema stated, “A compelling tale of resilience and determination, Blind promises to bring to life a remarkable central character who triumphs over seemingly insurmountable challenges.”
Recently, the film’s director, Shome Makhija, posted some stills of Sonam Kapoor with the remark, “A glimpse into the world of Blind.” Sonam was seen carrying a gun in one of the images, maybe during a training scene in the movie. She was captured in several action shots in the other pictures.

Earlier speaking to Indian Express, Sonam Kapoor mentioned about her maternity leave and is now enthralled to be back again, “I think it was the best decision as I got to take some time off. Now, I am getting back and I will be shooting for my films, and a few other things. Blind is releasing next, which was shot just before I got pregnant. So there’s a lot to look forward to.” The actor had said when asked if she was receiving the roles she was hoping for,‘I don’t know about that, I think everyone also needs to realise that I am coming back to work. Also, I did say no to a lot of work while I was on a break.”
Blind will be available for free streaming on JioCinema as of July 9. After Shahid Kapoor’s Bloody Daddy, this is the second major star-driven movie on the site.
