Sonu Nigam Made Fans Angry by Saying ‘Wish I Were from Pakistan’

Bollywood industry has given a number of best singers, who with the passage of time has entertained us so far. One of them is Sonu Nigam, he is a great singer with a magical voice. The singer is also known for making controversial statements. Earlier, he made controversy after asking for a ban on the use of loudspeakers at religious places.

Well, again he made a controversial statement that has raged a number of his fans. The playback singer took a dig at the adoration that Pakistani singers enjoy in India.

“Sometimes, I feel as if it would have been better if I were from Pakistan. At least I would get offers from India.”

Not even this but he also criticized today’s trend of remixing old songs. He condemned its implications for singers in the Indian music industry while comparing the working conditions of Pakistani singers and Indian singers. He said,

“Nowadays, singers have to pay music companies for shows. If we don’t shell out the money, they will play songs sung by other singers and highlight them. Then, they will take money from them.”

After his statement, many of his fans got angry. It is because he is one of the great singers of India and people love his music and respect him.
