We all know actress Soundarya Sharma from her film Ranchi Diaries. Taking a step further in her career, Soundarya now marked her debut into the OTT platform with Raktanchal.
Talking about this, the actress said, “I am so excited to be part of ‘Raktanchal’. This is not the story of one person’s journey but inspired by the journeys of many men and women, woven into the narratives of a few characters, to reflect the stories of the events in the region.”
This is an action-packed crime drama that is apparently based on real events from the ’80s of Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh.
In this web series, the criminal realm of Waseem Khan (Nikitin Dheer) who rules the tender mafia is shown. He is challenged by a criminal Vijay Singh (Kranti Prakash Jha) who is driven by revenge. The story unleashes a bloodbath in the city of Purvanchal. Wasim is getting the support of the ruling party, while Vijay is in the hope of political support. There are two leaders, Saheb Singh and Puraji Singh. In the midst of politics, money, and domination, both villains push Purvanchal into the world of crime. In such a situation, both make Purvanchal a Raktanchal.
The direction of “Raktanchal” is done by Ritam Shrivastav. This also features Vikram Kochhar, Pramod Pathak, Chitranjan Tripathi, Ronjini Chakraborty, Basu Soni, and Krishna Bisht.
