She was 60 years of age. According to a source, she was suffering from a heart attack as she triggered a cardiac event on a flight from London to Los Angeles.
She played an epic role of Princess Leia in the world-famous film series Star Wars. For several generations of science fiction and movie fans, she will be most remembered and certainly most loved.
George Lucas Star Wars was released in 1977 and became a smashing hit overnight. It broke all the box-office records. It showcased the adventures of various characters “a long time ago galaxy far, far away” and became a worldwide pop cultural phenomenon. It was followed by the similarly successful sequels.
