It was everyone’s desire to see Stranger Things season four! and finally, after a long wait, the sequel to the popular teen horror series hit Netflix on May 27th. The third season had previously ended with a huge cliffhanger and it was unclear whether viewer favorite Hopper, played by David Harbor was still alive. Of course, viewers also wanted to know how the main characters’ sweet love affairs continue to develop and what new monsters season four has in store. but now after its launch, it has broken all records on Netflix…
“Stranger Things” season four has had the most successful start of all time on Netflix! The new episodes were streamed for an impressive 286 million hours on the first weekend alone. The series hit even pushes the previous record-holder Bridgerton off the throne. Season two started here with 193 million hours. Now the new “Stranger Things” season also landed directly in the top ten in all 93 countries where Netflix is available. In Germany, it has been number one these days.
And all this despite the fact that the season hasn’t even come out in full yet! So far only the first seven episodes are online. But when will it continue? The fans still have to be patient. The final eighth episode will only be available on Netflix from July 1st. But when the already confirmed fifth season will be released it is still under the wrap.
