Famous Bollywood actor Sunny Deol recently joined the Bhartiya Janta Party. As per reports, the 62 years old Gadar actor is likely to be contested the elections from Punjab’s Gurdaspur or Amritsar seat. He met BJP president Amit Shah and later joined the party in the presence of Union Ministers Piyush Goyal and Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
On Wednesday, Sunny Deol along with her younger brother Bobby Deol reached Amritsar airport. Both the brothers reached with a chartered plane. Elections for Gurdaspur seat will be held on May 19, till then Sunny will live here. Therefore, he brings more than 12 bags including gym tools and accessories from Mumbai along with him. Sunny’s luggage was placed in two vehicles and brought to Gurdaspur.
After seeking blessings from Dera Baba Nanak in the morning he will begin his road show on Thursday. He will cover 75 km distance from Gurdaspur to Pathankot. In the evening he will conduct a rally at Pathankot’s Unite Chownk.
